Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE, its latest addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup, promising advanced AI-powered features in a more accessible device.
The new handset is designed to serve as an entry point into Samsung’s Galaxy AI ecosystem, with the company positioning it as a balance of performance, creativity, and affordability. It comes equipped with One UI 8, the software layer that integrates Samsung’s latest AI capabilities, and is supported by a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging.
Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office at Samsung Electronics, said the device aims to make AI “more attainable for a wider range of users.” He added:
“Galaxy S25 FE empowers more people to bring greater convenience and creativity into their everyday lives.”
Everyday AI in Action
Samsung has emphasized that the S25 FE is not just a smartphone but a personalised AI companion. It introduces multimodal AI agents that integrate voice, touch and visual inputs, offering a more natural way to interact with the device.
Key features include:
- Gemini Live, which allows real-time visual conversations. By pointing the camera at objects, users can ask contextual questions, such as seeking outfit recommendations based on the weather.
- Now Bar and Now Brief, which surface live updates and personalised daily summaries from the lock screen, including traffic, reminders, and fitness data.
- Circle to Search with Google, enabling users to circle objects on the screen for instant information without disrupting ongoing tasks like gaming.
Focus on Privacy
Samsung has underlined privacy and security in its new AI offering. The device features Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), creating secure, app-specific storage environments within Knox Vault. This ensures that user data remains on-device and shielded from external threats, while still enabling personalised AI functions.
Camera and Creativity
Creativity is another major theme in the Galaxy S25 FE. A 12MP front-facing camera, powered by the AI-driven ProVisual Engine, promises sharper selfies, while the rear cameras benefit from improved Nightography and Super HDR video recording.
AI-enhanced tools include:
- Generative Edit, which detects unwanted background elements in photos and suggests automatic removals.
- Portrait Studio, allowing personalised avatar creation with lifelike facial expressions.
- Instant Slow-mo, turning any video clip into slow motion with a single tap.
- Audio Eraser and Auto Trim, which refine video editing by removing unwanted noise and highlighting the best moments.
Built for Performance
Beyond its software, the Galaxy S25 FE has been engineered for consistent performance. A **larger vapor chamber—over 10% bigger than its predecessor—**ensures improved thermal management during intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing.
Samsung says the device combines “rugged everyday reliability” with refined design, aiming to attract users who want a premium Galaxy experience at a more accessible price point.
The Galaxy S25 FE will roll out globally later this year as part of Samsung’s effort to broaden access to AI-powered mobile technology.
