Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc has announced its sponsorship of ‘Sayef Expo’, a vibrant three-day exhibition spotlighting summer-focused services and local entrepreneurship. The event hosted over 30 Kuwaiti brands and SMEs and served as a platform for stc to reinforce its ongoing support for small and medium enterprises under its flagship ‘Weyak’ initiative.

Held with the aim of promoting local businesses across a variety of sectors — from retail and technology to health and lifestyle — Sayef Expo offered participating vendors increased visibility and valuable customer engagement. stc’s involvement went beyond traditional sponsorship, with a dedicated booth that featured interactive experiences, product showcases, and digital solutions tailored to Kuwait’s growing tech-savvy audience.

The telecom giant used the platform to introduce visitors to its latest 5G Advanced network, which represents a major leap in connectivity. As the next phase of 5G innovation, 5G Advanced is designed to transform the digital experience with faster speeds, lower latency, and improved network capacity, aligning with Kuwait Vision 2035’s digital transformation agenda.

Visitors to stc’s booth were also offered exclusive giveaways, access to youth packages, and an introduction to the company’s customer-centric digital services. These offerings reflect stc’s broader mission of enhancing user experiences through meaningful engagement and cutting-edge technology.

Beyond product engagement, the company used the occasion to recruit students into its annual summer internship program. The initiative allows young Kuwaitis to explore future career paths in telecom and ICT, aligning with the company’s commitment to nurturing local talent. This year’s internship covers three specialised tracks — photography and editing, cybersecurity, and specialty coffee preparation, the latter in partnership with the Coffee app. Each course spans one week and combines hands-on training with theoretical learning, offering a holistic skill-building experience.

In its official statement, stc reaffirmed its dedication to empowering the local business landscape:

“Sponsoring Sayef Expo reflects our ongoing support for Kuwaiti SMEs, entrepreneurs, and youth. It’s part of our broader mission to enable innovation, support the digital economy, and create opportunities for growth under our Weyak program.”

The Weyak initiative, launched by stc to support the development of Kuwait’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, remains central to the company’s CSR efforts. It offers platforms, tools, and exposure for startups to thrive in an increasingly digital and competitive marketplace.

By combining its technological leadership with community involvement, stc continues to position itself as a key enabler of Kuwait’s digital future — not only through infrastructure, but through direct investment in people, innovation, and local potential.
