Abu Dhabi-based hairdresser Lyndal Stokes is this year’s winner of L’Oreal’s annual Middle East Hair Idol competition, which took place on 4th December.

Contestants were invited to enter the competition in February and went through a rigorous selection process culminating in the final last week. Hairworks Abu Dhabi stylist Lyndal competed with hairdressers from across the GCC in this prestigious event. “It was a huge honour to be selected to represent the UAE, but to win against the other teams was fantastic!” Lyndal said.

She decided to recreate the classic bob, adding her own personal touch. “The style was a play on a vintage retro look, with a modern twist. I did a sleek dynamic bob with a really soft subtle colour. I wanted it to be almost edible and luckily the judges understood my love for food and hair!”
