Dear Editor,
Having just enjoyed a fulfilling trip to the Goan party scene, and having experienced the Creamfields Abu Dhabi festival (and being a diehard trance music fan) I would like to propose a new festival in the dunes such as the Sunburn Goa festival, or the Armin Only! festivals, with hours upon hours of music to move the people, to unite them if just for a few hours under one banner, music and dance! With due consideration to the rules and traditions of this country, I am sure a solution could be found with all parties involved in making this dream a reality. So come on, what say you?

Editor: A tent city in the dunes, 48 hours of dance and trance followed by moonlit chillout and breakfast at dawn, well away from the people who might otherwise be disturbed by the noise and the crowds ... Sounds like a winner, and a lot drier than Glastonbury or Creamfields UK. We’ll be there.

Dear Editor,
A few weeks ago, I read in Abu Dhabi Week that the Government is going to introduce energy-efficient bulbs so that energy is saved. It is a welcome idea. But the same Government should check on the wastage of power at every nook and corner of Abu Dhabi.
There are so many high rise buildings which have either been completed or are nearing completion. Why is so much current wasted in just lighting up these unoccupied towers?
Hypermarkets are slowly switching over to reusable plastic bags, which is again a welcome idea – but they should stop printing glossy pamphlets to advertise their products, as a lot of paper gets wasted. Why can't these malls display their offers at the entrance so that the customer is aware of it?
