Greece to Host First-Ever Humanoid Robot Olympiadn

The birthplace of the Olympic Games is preparing to host a very different kind of competition this summer. Olympia, Greece, will welcome the world’s first International Humanoid Olympiad from 29 August to 2 September 2025 — a pioneering event where intelligent humanoid robots will perform Olympic-inspired feats in a celebration of innovation and technology.

Held at the historic International Olympic Academy, the event will bring together state-of-the-art humanoid robots and the world’s leading minds in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) for a week of live demonstrations, games, workshops, and expert talks.

The Olympiad is spearheaded by Acumino, a cutting-edge Robotic Intelligence scale-up, and co-organised by Endeavor Greece, an organisation dedicated to scaling high-impact entrepreneurship. The event aims to highlight the convergence of ancient human values with futuristic technology, reflecting how collaboration between humans and machines is evolving.

A Glimpse Into the Future

The Olympiad will feature interactive robot showcases, where visitors can engage with humanoids that can walk, sprint, jump, and even mimic human gestures. These machines will demonstrate advanced physical intelligence and adaptive AI in real-time.

Among the most anticipated events are the Olympic-style competitions, where robots will take part in challenges inspired by traditional athletics — including sprints, long jumps, and javelin throws. While these games are designed to entertain, they also serve to benchmark progress in sensorimotor coordination and robotic dexterity.

“The Humanoid Olympiad is not just a spectacle — it’s a statement,” said event organisers. “It’s about imagining what the next chapter of human-machine interaction looks like, and doing it from the very birthplace of the Olympic spirit.”

Talks and Workshops

A key part of the event will be a series of expert-led discussions exploring themes such as the ethics of AI, human-robot collaboration, and the societal impacts of robotics. Industry leaders, researchers, and engineers will weigh in on how physical AI is reshaping sectors from healthcare to logistics.

Hands-on robot-building workshops will be open to participants of all ages, particularly children and students. Guided by engineers and AI specialists, these sessions aim to make robotics more accessible and spark curiosity in the next generation of innovators.

A Global Invitation

Organisers say the Humanoid Olympiad is intended to be as inclusive as it is groundbreaking. Attendees from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate, connect with creators, and witness how AI-driven robotics is increasingly becoming part of our social and economic fabric.

As the world grapples with the role of emerging technologies, the event poses a profound question: What kind of future do we want to build with intelligent machines?

Registration is now open, with pre-registration forms and event details available at www.humanoidolympiad.org. The event promises to blend ancient ideals with bold modern vision — and perhaps redefine what it means to compete, collaborate, and co-evolve.
