The Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) recently completed a number of field visits around the Emirate as part of their Public Satisfaction Survey 2011.

The field visits began at the end of December and included three days in the city centre and its suburbs before heading to the city of Al Ain for two days and then ending in the Western Region.

However, despite collecting a substantial amount of useful data, the DMA is still seeking online participation from residents and citizens.

Speaking about the survey, HE Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Shareef, the under secretary of DMA, told us that launching such projects is part of the department’s strategic plan to raise awareness and promote the services provided by the municipal system for the residents of Abu Dhabi.

The survey is made up of two main components. The first part is to measure the awareness and public knowledge that residents have of DMA, its tasks and its projects and the second part is to guage the levels of satisaction in the services provided by the three municipalities of the emirate; Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain city Municipality and the Western Region Municipality.

So far the survey has received high participation levels from the local citizens and residents, both from the Arab and non Arab backgrounds, but the DMA is asking for anyone who has not yet completed the survey to fill in the short online questionnaire.
