So many steps to a new you

Our editor Megan Wynes gets put through her paces at Haddins Fitness

After five weeks of training six days a week on her Haddins Fitness New You Program our editor Megan is certainly starting to feel the burn.

With two personal training sessions, a gym session, circuit training, a boxing class and a long walk crammed in to one week, even from the very start this wasn’t going to be easy.

Now five weeks on, things have kicked up a notch, but she’s starting to see results.

“I haven’t lost a lot of weight yet as I’ve been strengthening muscles I never knew I had, but now we’ve increased the cardio aspect of my sessions I’m hoping to see a bigger change,” said Megan.

“Interval training sessions are becoming harder and harder each time, with ten-minute blocks of seriously heavy cardio interlaced with – very welcome – rest periods and core strengthening.

“I’m getting much more involved in the group classes now as well, and can finally keep up with some of the other gym regulars (who really look a lot sportier than me).”

Although they caused a momentary dip in energy levels, daily food deliveries from D-Club are providing more than enough calories to keep up with the gruelling training sessions.

Each day Megan is getting breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks delivered to the office (or home), taking the hassle out of shopping and cooking, and freeing up more time to spend in the gym.

“The portions are a lot less than I would normally be used to, but the food is really tasty and is different every day. I selected my favourite things from a really extensive menu, and now every morning’s delivery is quite exciting as I never know what I’m going to get,” she said.
