IDEA 2012 applauds student talent

More than 3,000 multinational students from 72 schools across the UAE participated in Al Reyami IDEA 2012 UAE Open Talent Search Contest held at Abu Dhabi Indian School on Friday 18th May

IDEA, an Abu Dhabi based non-profit voluntary organisation with a mission to nurture creativity in students, created the contest to hunt out budding talent in the UAE and recognise outstanding performers in the categories of Quiz, Elocution, Creative Arts and Poetry Writing competitions.

Dr Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, Associate Provost of Higher Colleges of Technology, who was the chief guest at the Talent Award Presentation Ceremony, lauded the children for their energy and drive in participating in such events where students of different nationalities compete.

Al Hammadi presented Talent Awards to a total of 76 Winners in six categories of Poetry, Elocution, Creative Arts and Quiz contest. A jury award was presented to a student with special needs from Special Care Centre.

The fifth edition of Innovative Development Centre for Educational Aptitude (IDEA)’s Talent Contest was held in association with the Higher Colleges of Technology’s Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT).
