Spring is just around the corner – or at least the season’s fashion has finally hit Abu Dhabi stores!

What do I love most this spring?

This season, I’m all about lace. Lace leaped on to the fashion scene in S/S 2010, but this year designers have given the fabric a fresh look. On the catwalk Balenciaga featured its lace shirts mismatched with sequined patches; Dolce & Gabbana showcased full length lace dresses in white (another big spring trend), while Christopher Kane gave lace a whole new look with an assortment of neon colours.

So how to wear this trend?

Simple – keep it casual. Match a lace top with high waist denim trousers or shorts and a pair of bright heels for a laid back look. For a romantic air, pair up a lace maxi dress with a cinched waist belt and gladiator flats – another look making its way back into our wardrobes and hearts.

Firm fashion favourite Forever21 has caught on to the lace scene fast with an assortment of mini and maxi lace dresses and beautiful light lace blouses while trusty H&M has combined two of the season’s hottest trends, lace and denim, in their spring/summer collections (I already have my eye on a beautiful summer dress).
