Ultimate Pampering treatment - Le Meridien

Garden of Eden

Though we've been promised a light at the end of construction tunnel on Salam Street, it's still a bit of a trial getting to Le Meridien next to Abu Dhabi Mall. If you're going, you might as well make a day of it at Eden Spa with the Ultimate Pampering treatment which takes about three and a half hours to complete.

Whatever combination of treatments you get, be sure to allow time before or after to enjoy the spacious Aquamedic pool. With its Jacuzzi and multiple, powerful water jets, it's a lovely place to relax, and it’s free to use with the purchase of a treatment.

We started with an invigorating exfoliation treatment that scoured away all kinds of dead skin from top to toe. After a quick rinse, we were transformed into a human shawarma – we lay on a sheet of plastic while the lovely diminutive Lilly slathered on a full body layer of therapeutic masque. Mummified in plastic, we were then enfolded in a silver thermal blanket. While the heat activated the masque, Lilly gave us a relaxing head massage.

With milky smooth skin, we took another quick shower and it was time for a full body massage that soothed our gym-weary muscles followed by an extensive facial using steam and luxurious Phytomer products to cleanse, tighten and moisturise our pores.

Why go?

This comprehensive combination of treatments is just what the doctor ordered for every inch of our skin. Even better, you can make a day of it and relax at any of Le Meridien's many eateries in the garden when you're done.

And why not?

The half day experience takes a while – go when you're tired as you'll have plenty of time to lie still. Also, with all the scrubbing and showering, your hair style won’t likely survive the process; be sure to allow time to fancy up before going out.
