Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE grants a special wish on World Wish Day
Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE joined the world on 29th April in celebrating World Wish Day by granting a ten year old girl her wish to be a princess and host a cupcake party.
Shivani travelled with her family from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi to fulfill this longed-for experience. She was presented with a tailor made princess dress, complete with shoes and tiara by the Foundation. After her transformation into a princess at the offices in Al Bateen, Shivani was driven to the Emirates Palace by limousine. On arriving at the VIP entrance she was presented with a bouquet of flowers and walked up the rose-strewn red carpet into the luxurious surroundings of the hotel. For the next 24 hours this would be her palace, and she would be treated as royalty.
A wish improves the life of the wishing child and everyone around is touched by that wish. World Wish Day allows people from all over the world to come together to help make more wishes come true. The Foundation also held an awareness campaign at Marina Mall, and a cupcake campaign and blue and white day were held in certain schools in Abu Dhabi.
Under the leadership of Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif Bint Mohammad Al Nahyan, Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE has a mission to grant the wishes of children living with life-threatening medical conditions living in the UAE.
